We have a massive amount of iron in our water and our water is very hard. We put in an iron filter and a water softener. I have been learning more about water lately and am not comfortable with the water softener as I’m learning that it can be detrimental to our health and our environment. I am interested in purchasing a unit for our home to replace the water softener. Is it possible to keep the iron filter and use your unit at the same time? We have 1 inch PEX piping. Can the unit be installed with that piping?
